Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Lottoread mobile application or website at lottoread.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version is always available at lottoread.com/terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that your use complies with all laws and regulations applicable to you, including the laws of your jurisdiction regarding lottery participation.

3. Description of Service

Lottoread is a lottery companion app that provides:

• AI-assisted scanning and reading of lottery ticket numbers
• Comparison of ticket numbers against draw results
• AI-powered and algorithmic lottery number generation
• Draw result notifications via push notification
• Statistics and historical data for supported lottery games

Lottoread is an informational and entertainment tool only. It does not sell lottery tickets, guarantee winnings, or constitute gambling services. All lottery participation is solely your responsibility through licensed retailers or official lottery websites.

4. User Accounts

You may use the Service with a guest session or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at support@lottoread.com of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription or in-app purchase, processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and managed via RevenueCat.

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as indicated at the time of purchase.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
• Price changes: We will notify you in advance of any price changes. Continued use of a subscription after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
• Credits: In-app credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire upon account deletion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Circumvent any access controls, authentication mechanisms, or rate limits
• Upload images that contain illegal content or that you do not have the right to submit
• Automate access to the Service through bots, scrapers, or scripts without our written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the app design, logo, text, graphics, and underlying software — are owned by Lottoread and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., ticket images). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Accuracy & No Guarantee of Results

Lottoread uses AI and OCR technology that may produce errors in reading ticket numbers or comparing them to draw results. Always verify your ticket results through official lottery sources. We are not responsible for any losses, missed prizes, or decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

Draw result data is sourced from publicly available information and may be delayed or inaccurate. Official lottery results should always be verified through the relevant lottery authority.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOTTOREAD AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY ERRORS OR INACCURACIES IN TICKET SCANNING OR RESULT COMPARISON; OR (C) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN.

Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of $10 USD or the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lottoread and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service integrates with and may link to third-party services (Google, Apple, RevenueCat, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 10, 11) will survive.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
